How to check 2026 BECE provisional results using a mobile phone

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released the provisional results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Candidates can access their results online through WAEC's official results portal by using a valid Serial Number and PIN obtained from approved channels.

WAEC has also cautioned candidates and the general public to be vigilant against fraudsters who claim they can alter or upgrade examination results for a fee, stressing that only official channels should be used to access results.

Candidates can check their BECE results by following these simple steps:

1. Visit the official WAEC results portal: eresults.waecgh.org.
2. Enter your Index Number.
3. Re-enter your Index Number to confirm it is correct.
4. Select the Examination Type (BECE School or BECE Private).
5. Choose the Examination Year (2026).
6. Enter your Serial Number.
7. Enter your PIN.
8. Complete the CAPTCHA verification.
9. Click the Submit button.
10. Wait for the results page to load and display your examination results.

Candidates are encouraged to print or save a copy of their results for future reference, particularly ahead of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) placement process.

WAEC has provided official channels through which candidates can obtain their results checker PIN.

Candidates may:

• Dial *713*3998# on their mobile phones to purchase a checker PIN.
• Purchase a checker PIN online through buycheckercodes.com.gh.

After completing the purchase, candidates will receive a Serial Number and PIN, which are required to access their results online.

WAEC has strongly warned candidates not to fall victim to individuals or groups who claim they can change, upgrade or influence examination results in exchange for money.

The Council stressed that examination results cannot be altered through unofficial means and advised candidates to ignore such fraudulent offers.

Candidates are urged to rely solely on WAEC's approved platforms when checking their results and to report suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.

WAEC has encouraged candidates to keep printed or digital copies of their provisional results in a safe place, as they may be required during the senior high school placement process and for other academic purposes.
