tatement on the Passing of Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo

The family of Hon. Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Political Advisor to the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and the immediate past National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), regrets to announce the passing of his beloved father, Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo.

The late Opanin Edward Kwabena Ofosu-Ampofo passed peacefully in the early hours of Easter Sunday, 5th April 2026, at the age of 93.

He was a man widely admired for his kindness, humility, and deep sense of godliness. Throughout his life, he exemplified quiet strength, compassion, and unwavering faith, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, service, and devotion to family and community. His life was a testament to the values of discipline, respect, and love for humanity.

A Book of Condolence has been opened at the residence of Dr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo at Spintex, near the Bastoona Total Filling Station, from Thursday, 9th April to Saturday, 11th April 2026, for all sympathisers, friends, and well-wishers who wish to pay their respects.

Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
