“President John Mahama Boosts Ghana’s Free Healthcare with GH¢500 Million Medical Supply Investment”

President John Mahama is taking significant steps to strengthen Ghana’s Free Healthcare initiative. The government has procured 24,534 essential medical items valued at GH¢500 million to upgrade clinics and healthcare facilities across the country.

This major investment aims to enhance service delivery, ensure the availability of critical medical supplies, and improve patient care in public health facilities. By equipping clinics with modern medical equipment and consumables, the initiative seeks to reduce shortages, shorten patient wait times, and support the ongoing expansion of free healthcare services to more Ghanaians.

Officials emphasize that the procurement aligns with broader efforts to build a resilient healthcare system capable of addressing both routine medical needs and emergency situations, further consolidating Ghana’s commitment to universal healthcare access.
