USE POLYTHENE BAGS AS PPEs - Presidential Staffer Urges Ghanaian Health Professionals

A Presidential Staffer and leading Jubilee House Social Media Communicator, Nana Hesse Ogyiri, has given the clearest indication yet as to the presidency's views on demands by health professionals for PPEs to be provided for them.

The indication from the leading Jubilee House Social Media Communicator is that the Presidency holds the view that since doctors in America are said to be wearing ordinary polythene bags in place of PPEs, Ghanaian doctors should stop demanding for PPEs for their protection.

In a reaction to a post made on Facebook by Marcus Garvin Adampah reiterating the lamentations of Doctors of Ghana's premier hospital with regards to lack of PPEs and other logistics as they struggle in the face of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Jubilee House Staffer flippantly retorted that "American Doctors are wearing polythene bags to save American lives.".

The Presidential Staffer's reaction clearly indicates that the Presidency is of the view that doctors and other health professionals in Ghana should use polythene bags and stop asking for, or expecting government to provide them with, PPEs and other critical logistics as they confront the dreaded COVID 19 pandemic.

Marcus Garvin Adampa's post that elicited the Presidential Staffer's response reads, "NDC COVID19 Response Team has been trumpeting what the doctors of Korlebu are now saying. Akufo-Addo is playing politics with COVID-19, unfortunately!"
