I’ve stayed faithful to my wife for 21 years – Okyeame Kwame

Award-winning Ghanaian rapper Okyeame Kwame has revealed that he has remained faithful throughout his marriage to his wife, Annica Nsiah-Apau, attributing the longevity of their relationship to discipline, commitment, and mutual respect.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM on April 16, 2026, the musician emphasised that maintaining multiple romantic relationships is not only unnecessary but also a waste of time and energy. According to him, staying committed to one partner has been a key factor in sustaining a stable and successful marriage.

He disclosed that his relationship with his wife spans over two decades, combining both courtship and marriage. The couple dated for four years before tying the knot and have now been married for 17 years, bringing the total duration of their relationship to 21 years.

“We have been married for the past 17 years, but we dated for four years, so in total, we have been together for 21 years. I haven’t had any extramarital affairs in my marriage. There is no way I can cheat on my wife,” he stated.

Okyeame Kwame also addressed the issue of paternity claims, firmly dismissing any possibility that he could have children outside his marriage. He stressed that no individual could legitimately claim to be his biological child beyond those within his family.

He explained that he has consistently guided his daughter on how to respond to such claims, urging her to approach them with caution and critical thinking—especially when they come from individuals whose age does not align with the timeline of his life and relationship.

“I have been telling my daughter that if anyone comes claiming that I am the father, the person should be at least 22 years old. Anyone who comes claiming that I am the father and is less than 22 years old is a liar. They should go and conduct a DNA test. There is no one I have cheated on my wife,” he added.

Over the years, the rapper has been vocal about his admiration and love for his wife, often highlighting her importance in his life during interviews and on social media platforms. He has frequently described her as his best friend, confidante, and a strong pillar behind his personal and professional success.

The couple has also become known for promoting positive family values and responsible living, using their public platform to advocate for strong marriages, fidelity, and mutual support within relationships.
