National Vice Chairman hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alfred Agbesi Woyome, has emphasised the need to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures, pledging to use his experience, networks and capacity to create more opportunities for members.
In a message outlining his vision for the party, Mr Woyome said effective leadership should go beyond occupying a position to delivering practical benefits for the party and its supporters.
He argued that building a stronger NDC must begin with empowered branches, strengthened constituencies and improved opportunities for members who sustain the party through their commitment and sacrifice.
Mr Woyome stressed that grassroots members play a crucial role in keeping the party active and maintaining its organisational structures.
He said their contributions should be matched with fair opportunities for personal growth, development and progress within the party.
“Our grassroots sacrifice for the Party. They must also have a fair opportunity to benefit, grow and progress with the Party,” he stated.
The National Vice Chairman hopeful also called for an inclusive approach to party leadership, insisting that no branch or constituency should feel neglected.
“No branch should feel forgotten. No constituency should feel left behind,” he added.
Mr Woyome said his ambition for the National Vice Chairman position was anchored in the belief that leadership experience, professional networks and organisational capacity should be deployed to serve the party and its members.
His message places grassroots empowerment, constituency development and opportunities for party supporters at the centre of his vision for the NDC.
He presented the approach as part of his broader call for party structures to ensure that members who contribute to the NDC’s growth also have opportunities to advance within the organisation.
