Mahama Representative Attends AU Forum on Youth and Democratic Governance

A representative of President John Dramani Mahama is participating in the 3rd African Union Reflection Forum on Unconstitutional Changes of Government, held under the theme "Youth Inclusivity for Africa's Stability."

The forum brings together policymakers, diplomats, governance experts, youth leaders and representatives of African Union member states to deliberate on strategies for preventing unconstitutional changes of government and strengthening democratic governance across the continent.

The discussions are expected to focus on the critical role of young people in promoting peace, political stability, democratic participation and sustainable development in Africa. Participants will also examine the underlying causes of unconstitutional changes of government and explore practical measures to strengthen democratic institutions and constitutional order.

The forum forms part of the African Union's ongoing efforts to promote good governance, constitutional rule, conflict prevention and inclusive political participation as essential pillars for achieving lasting peace and stability across Africa.

Representing President John Dramani Mahama, the Ghanaian delegation is expected to reaffirm the country's commitment to democracy, constitutional governance and regional cooperation while highlighting the importance of empowering young people to actively contribute to Africa's development and stability.
