No talent should be left out of 2028 campaign - Bawumia

New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has urged the party’s newly elected national executives to build an inclusive structure that harnesses the talents and capabilities of all members ahead of the 2028 general election.

Dr Bawumia said no talent within the party should be excluded from the NPP’s preparations and campaign efforts as it seeks to return to power in the next general election.

“In victory or in defeat, no talent should be left out in the 2028 campaign,” Dr Bawumia said.

His comments followed the election of the NPP’s new national executives in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3, as part of the party’s reorganisation ahead of the 2028 presidential election.

In a congratulatory statement issued on Sunday, October 4, Dr Bawumia pledged his support for the new leadership and expressed confidence in its ability to lead the party’s preparations for the next election.

He said the new executives, led by National Chairman John Boadu, must work to identify and harness the skills and capabilities available across the party.

The statement said Dr Bawumia had committed to providing the necessary support to the new leadership to establish an inclusive system that allows all talents within the party to contribute to its efforts ahead of 2028.

The former NPP presidential candidate also congratulated all the newly elected national executives, describing their election as the completion of the party’s reorganisation process.

According to him, the election was conducted in an atmosphere of peace and transparency, with the outcome reflecting the wishes of the party’s delegates.

Dr Bawumia said the expectation of the NPP’s rank and file was for the John Boadu-led leadership to immediately begin preparations for the 2028 general election.

The new executives are expected to oversee the party’s organisational activities, mobilisation and preparations as the NPP begins its work towards the next presidential and parliamentary elections.

Dr Bawumia’s call for an inclusive approach places emphasis on bringing together the party’s various talents, skills and experience as the NPP seeks to strengthen its organisation ahead of 2028.
