Okyeame Kwame as Feed Ghana Ambassador

Okyeame Kwame as Feed Ghana Ambassador

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture has clarified that the appointment of Okyeame Kwame as an Ambassador for the Feed Ghana initiative is entirely voluntary and not tied to any financial compensation from the state.

According to the Ministry, the renowned Ghanaian artiste personally expressed his willingness to support and promote the Feed Ghana project. His decision is driven by a desire to use his public platform to highlight the programme’s achievements, share success stories, and encourage greater public involvement in efforts to boost agricultural productivity and food security.

The Ministry emphasized that Okyeame Kwame’s role is grounded in patriotism and a shared vision for national development, rather than any form of contractual or paid engagement. His involvement reflects a growing trend of influential individuals leveraging their visibility to support government initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods.

It further stressed that under the leadership of the Minister for Food and Agriculture, Hon. Eric Opoku, no state funds, allowances, or financial packages have been allocated for this ambassadorial role. The clarification comes amid public interest in the nature of such partnerships and the use of public resources.

The Ministry reiterated its openness to similar collaborations, noting that it welcomes support from well-meaning Ghanaians, private sector players, and other stakeholders who are willing to contribute voluntarily toward the success of the Feed Ghana programme. Such partnerships, it noted, are essential in mobilising national support and driving sustainable agricultural development.
