The political journey of Mr. Mathias Alagbo, widely recognized as Kabila, the Volta Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has become a focal point of increased dialogue within party circles, with many labeling him as a burgeoning “political currency” among the youth and communication framework of the party.

A dedicated youth activist since 1996, Kabila held the position of Deputy Volta Regional Youth Organizer from 2014 to 2018 before taking on the substantive role in 2018 — a position he still occupies.

He is also a member of the party’s National Communication Bureau, which further solidifies his influence within the NDC’s strategic communication framework.

In internal discussions, party loyalists credit him with establishing robust grassroots structures throughout the Volta Region, enhancing youth mobilization efforts, and fostering unity at both constituency and branch levels.

In political terminology, some supporters refer to him as a “Jagaban of organisation,” a term commonly used in West African political contexts to signify a master strategist and disciplined mobilizer who commands stature, respect, and loyalty.

Others depict Comrade Kabila as an institutional powerhouse on the youth front — a commanding organizer whose operational discipline bolsters party unity. His supporters frequently describe his coordination style as firm, methodical, and system-oriented, asserting that his control over structure and operational details has established him as a stabilizing force within the regional hierarchy and the youth wing on a national scale.

Academically, Mr. Alagbo possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Political Science from the University of Ghana, a Master’s degree in International Politics and Security Studies from the University of Bradford, and a Master’s degree in Public Relations from the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
