Ghana Oil Company Limited (GOIL) has announced a price adjustment for its premium petrol product, Super XP 95, as part of ongoing changes within Ghana’s fuel market.
According to the company, the adjustment takes immediate effect, although some of its key products will maintain their existing competitive pricing. Super XP 95 remains unchanged at GH¢14.35 per litre, while Super XP is now selling at GH¢13.30 per litre and Diesel XP at GH¢17.10 per litre. These prices have been effective since March 31, 2026.
The pricing update follows the introduction of a new price floor by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), aimed at stabilising the downstream petroleum market and ensuring fair competition among oil marketing companies.
Industry observers note that such adjustments are influenced by a combination of global crude oil price trends, exchange rate fluctuations, and regulatory directives. As a result, fuel prices across Ghana continue to experience periodic reviews.
Other players in the market, including Star Oil, have also revised their pricing structures, with petrol currently selling within the range of GH¢12.29 to GH¢13.30 per litre depending on location and outlet.
GOIL has reiterated its commitment to delivering high-quality fuel products while maintaining affordability for consumers. The company emphasised that its pricing strategy is designed to offer value at the lowest allowable levels within the regulatory framework.
As competition intensifies in Ghana’s fuel retail sector, consumers are expected to continue benefiting from price adjustments and improved service delivery across various oil marketing companies nationwide.
