Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang joined the chiefs and people of Krachi

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang joined the chiefs and people of Krachi in a grand ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary of the enstoolment of the Krachiwura, Nana Mprah Besemuna III, in Ghana’s Oti Region.

The event, which brought together traditional authorities, community members, and dignitaries from across the region and beyond, celebrated a significant milestone in the reign of Nana Mprah Besemuna III, who has served as the paramount chief of Krachi for a quarter of a century. His leadership has been widely associated with the promotion of peace, unity, and development within the Krachi Traditional Area.

The colorful anniversary durbar featured rich displays of cultural heritage, including traditional music, drumming, and dance performances that highlighted the customs and identity of the Krachi people. Chiefs adorned in regal attire, along with queen mothers and elders, participated in the ceremony, underscoring the importance of chieftaincy in preserving local traditions and governance structures.

In her address, Vice President Opoku-Agyemang commended the Krachiwura for his dedication and contributions to the socio-economic development of the area. She noted that his 25-year reign reflects stability and strong leadership, which are essential for community growth. She also emphasized the government’s continued commitment to working closely with traditional leaders to advance development initiatives, improve infrastructure, and enhance livelihoods across the region.

The Vice President further highlighted the vital role of traditional authorities in maintaining peace and supporting national development efforts.
