A delegation from B5 Plus Group Ltd on Thursday, April 23, 2026, paid a working visit to the Kwahu Afram Plains North District to inspect a parcel of land earmarked for the construction of a new Farmers Service Centre.
The visit forms part of preparatory activities ahead of the project’s official commencement, which is scheduled for the first week of May 2026. The establishment of the centre is expected to play a pivotal role in strengthening agricultural infrastructure and enhancing service delivery to farmers in the area.
The delegation was led by Mr. Pradeep Srivastava, Head of Department at B5 Plus Group Ltd, and included Mr. Dela Dzenu, a Senior Land Surveyor. Their visit focused on assessing the suitability of the designated land, reviewing site conditions, and ensuring that all necessary technical and logistical considerations are in place ahead of construction.

Upon arrival, the team was warmly received by the District Chief Executive for Kwahu Afram Plains North, Hon. Kate Mawusi Babanawo, alongside the District Chief Executive for Kwahu Afram Plains South District, Hon. Moses Tangbe. Their presence underscored the importance of the project to both districts and highlighted the collaborative effort between local authorities and private sector stakeholders.

Also present at the inspection were key district officials, including Mr. Abdul Mohammed, District Planning and Development Officer; Mr. Jesse Labi Addo, Town Planning Officer; and Mr. Francis Dika Bonsu, District Agricultural Officer. These officials are expected to play crucial roles in coordinating planning, regulatory approvals, and agricultural integration once the project begins.
The planned Farmers Service Centre is anticipated to significantly boost agricultural productivity by providing farmers with access to essential resources such as modern farming inputs, technical advisory services, training programs, and improved market linkages. It is also expected to contribute to job creation and rural economic growth within the district.

Importantly, only two Farmers Service Centres are scheduled to be constructed in the Eastern Region this year. The selection of Kwahu Afram Plains North and South as beneficiaries highlights the strategic importance of the area in Ghana’s agricultural value chain, particularly due to its vast arable land and growing farming population.
The inspection exercise marks a significant milestone in the project’s development and signals a strong commitment by both government and private partners to invest in sustainable agricultural development and improve livelihoods across the Afram Plains.
