Ghana is set to welcome the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, H.E. Emmerson Mnangagwa, on a three-day State Visit from Wednesday, 1st April to Friday, 3rd April 2026. According to an official statement from the Presidency released on Tuesday, 31st March 2026, President Mnangagwa will arrive at Accra International Airport on Wednesday, where he will be received with full military honours by Ghana’s Head of State, President John Dramani Mahama. The formal welcome ceremony will feature an inspection of a Guard of Honour mounted by the Ghana Armed Forces, alongside a 21-gun salute, a protocol reserved for visiting heads of state, highlighting the significance of the visit.
In the evening, President Mahama will host a State Banquet in honour of President Mnangagwa.
