Mahama & Naana Jane Storm Central Region On Day 2 Of The “Resetting Ghana” Tour

President John Dramani Mahama is expected to continue his nationwide "Resetting Ghana" tour in the Central Region today, where he will be joined by Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang for engagements aimed at assessing development projects and interacting with residents.

The visit forms part of the government's ongoing regional outreach programme designed to monitor the implementation of key development initiatives, engage local stakeholders, and receive updates on issues affecting communities across the country.

According to the programme, President Mahama and the Vice President will arrive at Mephiboseth, Apam Junction, at 10:30 a.m., where they are expected to receive a formal welcome before commencing their activities.

During the visit, the President and Vice President are expected to receive first-hand briefings on major infrastructure and development projects being undertaken in the Central Region.

They will also engage with traditional authorities, local government officials, community leaders, and residents to discuss development priorities and gather feedback on government programmes.

The tour is intended to provide the Presidency with direct insights into ongoing projects while strengthening collaboration between the central government and local communities.

Ahead of the visit, the Central Regional Minister, Hon. Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, together with the Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Richard Asiedu, have called on party executives, Members of Parliament, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), government appointees, supporters, and members of the public to welcome the President and Vice President.

The regional leadership says the visit presents an opportunity for residents to interact with the country's leadership and hear first-hand the government's plans for the continued development of the Central Region.

Organisers expect large crowds to gather along the route to welcome the presidential delegation and participate in the scheduled engagements.

The Central Region visit represents another phase of President Mahama's "Resetting Ghana" regional tour, which seeks to promote closer engagement between government and citizens while monitoring the progress of development projects nationwide.

Government officials say the outreach programme is intended to strengthen accountability, improve service delivery, and ensure that national development initiatives respond to the needs of local communities.
