All Set for 2026 Kwahu Business Forum

Preparations have been finalized for the 2026 edition of the Kwahu Business Forum, with organisers expressing strong confidence that enhanced planning and new innovations will deliver a seamless, impactful, and productive business summit.

The forum, initiated by President John Dramani Mahama and Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, is scheduled to begin on Friday, April 3. Expectations are high that this year’s event will attract the largest gathering yet of indigenous entrepreneurs, business executives, policymakers, investors, and start-up founders.

Held under the theme “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector,” the forum will bring together leading figures in Ghana’s business community. Among those expected to attend are President Mahama, Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Johnson Pandit Asiama.

Ahead of the event, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey toured the newly built Kwahu Convention Centre and expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation undertaken by organisers.

She noted that the facility, which has a seating capacity of over 1,000, has been fully equipped with the necessary infrastructure to support two days of meaningful and transformative discussions. She emphasized that the extensive planning will ensure the forum meets expectations as a major event on Ghana’s business calendar.

The Minister also commended Chief of Staff Julius Debrah and his team for their efforts in promoting entrepreneurship, particularly within the Kwahu community, highlighting the forum’s potential to create both immediate and long-term impact.

“I have just toured the facility, and I can confidently say that we are ready. All necessary measures have been put in place, and I believe this year’s edition will be the most outstanding yet,” she stated, while praising the commitment of the organisers.

Key Features of the Forum

The 2026 Kwahu Business Forum will offer a range of activities, including networking sessions for businesses of all sizes, investor matchmaking opportunities, and a trade exhibition where companies can present their products and services.

Friday’s agenda will include the official opening ceremony, where President Mahama will deliver the Guest of Honour address, followed by a tour of the exhibition centre and high-level panel discussions.

Business leaders from the Kwahu area will also share their success stories, providing guidance and inspiration to young entrepreneurs on building sustainable ventures. In addition, participants will benefit from masterclasses covering various business topics, with the day concluding with a presidential dinner.

Saturday’s program will continue with keynote speeches from industry leaders, with President Mahama in attendance. Later in the day, the Governor of the Bank of Ghana is expected to deliver a special address on the state of the economy and engage in discussions with business stakeholders.

The forum will conclude with a health walk at the Kwahu Business Village, featuring a 1,000-step exercise involving participants. Subsequently, banking sector leaders will hold closed-door meetings with the Bank of Ghana to deliberate on key economic issues.
