BOST Energies Rejects Fuel Contamination Claims at Kumasi Depot, Assures Public of Product Safety

BOST Energies has firmly dismissed reports alleging fuel contamination at its Kumasi Depot, describing the publications as false, misleading, and capable of creating unwarranted anxiety among consumers and industry stakeholders.

In a statement issued by the company, management said comprehensive investigations and quality assurance assessments conducted at the depot found no evidence of contamination in any petroleum products stored or distributed from the facility.

According to BOST Energies, all fuel products currently in circulation from the Kumasi Depot have undergone stringent testing and continue to meet the required industry specifications and regulatory standards.

The company emphasized that fuel quality remains a top priority and forms a critical part of its operational mandate. It noted that rigorous quality control measures are implemented at every stage of the storage and distribution process to ensure that consumers receive products that are safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.

“BOST Energies remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of fuel quality and operational excellence,” the statement said. “Our quality control procedures are rigorous, and every product released from our facilities undergoes strict testing to ensure compliance with national specifications.”

The company expressed concern about the circulation of what it described as unverified and inaccurate information, warning that such reports could undermine public confidence in Ghana’s petroleum supply chain and create unnecessary uncertainty within the energy sector.

Management stressed that allegations of fuel contamination, when not supported by verified evidence, have the potential to damage the reputation of institutions responsible for safeguarding the nation’s strategic fuel reserves and ensuring uninterrupted supply across the country.

BOST Energies further assured customers, transport operators, businesses, and the general public that fuel supplied from the Kumasi Depot is safe for consumption and poses no threat to vehicles, machinery, or industrial equipment.

The company reiterated that it remains fully compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements governing fuel storage, testing, and distribution in Ghana. It added that routine inspections and laboratory analyses are conducted to guarantee the integrity of petroleum products before they reach consumers.

As part of its commitment to transparency and accountability, BOST Energies urged media organizations, industry players, and members of the public to verify information through official channels before publishing or sharing reports that could have far-reaching consequences for public trust and market stability.

The company also pledged to continue providing timely and accurate updates on issues relating to its operations and fuel quality management systems.

BOST Energies called on stakeholders to disregard the allegations of contamination and remain confident in the quality, safety, and reliability of products distributed through its network.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a steady and efficient supply of petroleum products to support transportation, commerce, industry, and economic growth across Ghana.
