NPA Chief Executive, Godwin Tameklo Esq. Honoured at 10th Ghana CEO Summit

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Godwin Kudzo Tameklo, has been honoured with the Outstanding Public Leadership Excellence Award at the 10th Ghana CEO Summit held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.

The prestigious award recognises Mr. Tameklo’s outstanding leadership and significant contributions to the growth and transformation of Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector since assuming office on January 27, 2025.

Since taking over the leadership of the NPA, Mr. Tameklo has spearheaded a series of reforms aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, regulatory compliance, and profitability within the petroleum industry. These initiatives align with the broader economic transformation and governance agenda of President John Dramani Mahama.

Industry stakeholders have credited his administration with strengthening regulatory oversight, promoting accountability, and fostering greater confidence within the downstream petroleum sector.

The latest honour adds to a growing list of recognitions earned by Mr. Tameklo during his tenure, reflecting his impact on public sector leadership and his commitment to driving innovation and excellence in Ghana’s energy industry.

The Ghana CEO Summit, widely regarded as the nation’s premier platform for business and leadership excellence, brings together top executives, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to discuss strategies for economic growth, innovation, and national development.

Mr. Tameklo’s recognition at this year’s summit highlights the progress achieved by the National Petroleum Authority under his leadership and reinforces his reputation as one of Ghana’s emerging public sector leaders.

The award also underscores the confidence that industry players and stakeholders continue to place in his ability to guide the Authority toward greater operational efficiency, sectoral growth, and long-term sustainability.
