The six accused persons have been identified as:
A seventh suspect, Baba Chika, is currently at large and being actively sought by the police.
According to the prosecution, the robbery allegedly took place in November 2024 during the transportation of a large sum of money and gold from a jewellery shop to a bank.
Prosecutors told the court that the suspects reportedly used a Toyota Highlander vehicle with registration number GN 7357-19 to carry out the operation. During the attack, they allegedly fired multiple gunshots into the air to intimidate their targets and facilitate the robbery.
An occupant of the vehicle transporting the valuables was reportedly shot in the left leg during the incident, highlighting the violent nature of the attack.
The case has drawn public attention due to the high value of the stolen items and the level of coordination allegedly involved in the operation. Law enforcement authorities continue to pursue the remaining suspect while investigations into the matter proceed.
