Christian Tetteh Yohuno, Inspector-General of Police (IGP), has promoted five police officers for their outstanding role in the arrest of suspects linked to the robbery attack at the GOIL Filling Station at Kwafokrom near Nsawam in the Eastern Region.

The officers honoured are Chief Inspector Eric Otoo, Chief Inspector Emmanuel Otu, General Sergeant Philip Amoah, Policewoman Constable Victoria Asiedu, and Policewoman Constable Rosemond A. Frimpong.

According to the Ghana Police Service, the officers were recognised for their professionalism, bravery, dedication to duty, and swift response, which led to the successful arrest of two suspects connected to the robbery incident at the filling station.

As part of the reward package, Chief Inspector Eric Otoo and Chief Inspector Emmanuel Otu have been granted direct entry into the Police Academy to further their professional training and leadership development within the Service.

Meanwhile, General Sergeant Philip Amoah, Policewoman Constable Victoria Asiedu, and Policewoman Constable Rosemond A. Frimpong have all been promoted to their next respective ranks in recognition of their exceptional performance.

The IGP, together with members of the Police Management Board (POMAB), commended the officers for demonstrating courage, commitment, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

Police leadership further assured the public of the Service’s continued determination to combat violent crime and strengthen security across the country.

The Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property while encouraging officers nationwide to maintain high standards of discipline, vigilance, and dedication in their work.

The robbery incident at the GOIL Filling Station at Kwafokrom near Nsawam had raised concerns among residents and commuters in the area, prompting swift police action that eventually led to the arrest of the suspects.
