The family of the late James Victor Gbeho has paid a courtesy call on President John Dramani Mahama to formally inform him of the distinguished diplomat’s passing.
According to the family, the visit was necessary to fulfil both cultural and diplomatic traditions, which require the Head of State to be officially notified before a public announcement is made regarding the death of a prominent national figure.
Ambassador Gbeho was widely regarded as one of Ghana’s most accomplished diplomats and statesmen, with a career spanning several decades in national, regional, and international service.
