TECNO has introduced its CAMON 50 Series in Ghana, consisting of three models: the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G, CAMON 50 Pro, and CAMON 50. The new lineup emphasizes AI-powered photography, aiming to improve image quality through intelligent processing rather than hardware alone.
The CAMON 50 Ultra 5G features a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700C night sensor paired with TECNO’s AI RAW 2.0 engine, which processes light and detail during image capture. A 50-megapixel portrait camera on the Ultra 5G and Pro supports a 70mm focal length for clearer subject-background separation. The system also includes a 60x zoom with Super-Zoom FlashSnap for distant action shots.
DXOMARK rated the CAMON 50 Ultra 5G with an overall score of 146 and a portrait score of 142, marking the highest ratings for a smartphone under $600 according to the organisation. DXOMARK CEO Frédérique Guichard highlighted the phone’s Universal Tone technology for accurate skin tone reproduction, noting its relevance in African markets.

The series integrates with TECNO’s OneLeap platform, enabling screen mirroring, shared keyboard and mouse control, and cross-device copy-paste with compatible TECNO laptops and tablets.
