One injured as Hyundai Rhino crashes into stationary vehicle at Bibiani

One person has been injured following a collision involving a Hyundai Rhino truck and a faulty stationary vehicle at Bibiani in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality.

The incident occurred on the Bibiani–Goaso highway when the Hyundai Rhino truck, with registration number AS 5632-26, crashed into a broken-down Daewoo Ultra Novus truck, registration number AC 294-24, which had been parked along the roadside.

The driver of the Rhino truck, Abraham Nkrumah, stated that they were travelling from Sefwi Juaboso to Kumasi when the accident happened. He explained that he was unable to detect the stationary vehicle in time, attributing the crash to the absence of a warning triangle or any visible signal to alert approaching drivers.

According to him, there were six occupants in the vehicle at the time of the incident, but only the conductor sustained injuries.

The injured victim was rushed to Divine Love Hospital for medical treatment.
