The Ghana Technical and Vocational Education and Training Service (GTVETS) has officially announced a nationwide recruitment exercise for both teaching and non-teaching staff as part of its 2026 employment intake.
The recruitment process began on Friday, May 8, 2026, after the Ministry of Finance granted financial clearance for the exercise. According to GTVETS, the recruitment is being conducted in partnership with the Public Services Commission to ensure transparency and compliance with public service employment procedures.
The available vacancies have been divided into two broad categories — teaching positions and non-teaching positions — with opportunities available across various technical and vocational institutions nationwide.
Under the teaching category, GTVETS is recruiting for positions including Senior Tutor/Facilitator and Tutor roles.
Applicants seeking appointment as Senior Tutor/Facilitator are required to possess at least a Master’s degree in Technology, Engineering, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field. Candidates must also hold a professional qualification in education and have a minimum of one year of post-Bachelor’s working experience.
For Tutor positions, applicants are expected to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, together with a recognised professional qualification in Education.
The non-teaching recruitment category covers a wide range of administrative and support service roles. Available positions include Administrative Managers, Assistant Managers, Senior Assistants, Matrons, Catering Officers, Security Guards, Drivers, and Cleaners.

According to GTVETS, qualification requirements differ depending on the position being applied for. While senior roles may require Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees, some entry-level positions only require BECE or WASSCE certificates.
The Service further indicated that all applicants must possess the appropriate academic and professional qualifications relevant to the position they are applying for. Candidates are also expected to have completed their National Service obligations where applicable and must be prepared to accept postings to any part of the country.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo a competitive interview and selection process before final appointments are made.
Interested applicants can obtain and submit application forms physically at the GTVETS Headquarters located at 44 Boundary Road, East Legon, Accra. Applications can also be submitted online through the official recruitment portal: GTVETS Recruitment Portal
The deadline for submission of applications is Friday, May 22, 2026.
GTVETS has additionally cautioned members of the public against paying money to individuals claiming to offer recruitment assistance or guaranteed placement. The Service stressed that the recruitment exercise is strictly merit-based, transparent, and free from external influence.
