The National Service Authority (NSA) has extended the registration deadline for the 2026/2027 national service year to Friday, October 23, 2026, giving eligible prospective national service personnel additional time to complete the process.
The extension follows the expiration of the previous deadline on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday, October 16, 2026, the NSA management said the decision was intended to provide another opportunity for eligible personnel who had not completed their registration.
The Authority encouraged all prospective national service personnel who are yet to register to take advantage of the extended deadline and complete the necessary procedures.
It also urged applicants to follow all prescribed registration requirements and ensure that every required step is completed before the new deadline.
The NSA cautioned that personnel who fail to register within the extended period could face inconveniences associated with missing the deadline.
Eligible personnel are therefore encouraged to complete their registration by Friday, October 23, 2026, to avoid complications with their participation in the 2026/2027 national service year.
